Why does my device display the prompt “Please wear the device correctly”?

When you see the “Please wear the device correctly” prompt, it is usually due to improper wearing or measurement conditions preventing the device from accurately acquiring data such as heart rate, blood oxygen, etc. Please refer to the following instructions for adjustment.

1. Correct Wearing and Measurement Method 

To ensure the accuracy of measurement data, please follow these recommendations:

  • Wearing Position: Wear the device above your wrist bone, avoiding placing it directly on the bone to prevent interference with the sensor's operation.
  • Tightness: Ensure the device fits snugly against your wrist skin, but is not too tight or too loose.
  • Stay Still: When performing manual measurements, please lay your arm flat on a table, relax, and remain still.

2. What to do if the error prompt persists? 

If you have worn the device correctly according to the instructions above but the issue persists, it may be because the device has accidentally entered an engineering or test mode. You can try to resolve this by performing a factory reset.

Note: A factory reset will erase all local data on the device. It is recommended to back up your health data by syncing with a third-party app (Apple Health, Google Fit) before proceeding.

  • Factory Reset Procedure:
    • For Smartwatches (Watch):
      1. Press the crown to wake the screen and enter the app list.
      2. Find and enter “Settings”.
      3. In the settings menu, find and select “Factory Reset”, and confirm the action.
    • For Fitness Bands (Band):
      1. Wake the screen, swipe to find and enter the “More” option. . In the “More” menu, find “Factory Reset”.
      2. Long-press to confirm and reset the device to factory settings.

Once the process is complete, the device will restart, and you can pair it with your Runmefit App again by following the initial setup procedure.
