I. Correct Wearing and Measurement Methods
To ensure the accuracy of your measurement data, please follow these recommendations:
Wearing Position: Wear the device just above your wrist bone. Avoid pressing it directly against the wrist bone, as this may affect the sensor's performance.
Fit: Ensure the device fits snugly against your skin, but avoid wearing it too tight or too loose.
Keep Still: When taking a manual measurement, rest your arm flat on a table, relax your body, and remain still.
II. What should I do if the error persists?
If you are wearing the device correctly as instructed above but the issue remains, you can try the following three methods in order to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
Method 1: Update the App and Device Firmware
An outdated software version may cause recognition errors. Please try updating your system:
Update the App on your phone to the latest version.
Connect your watch to your phone via Bluetooth.
Open the App, go to the "Device" page, and tap "Firmware Update" to proceed.
Important notes before updating:
Sufficient Battery: Please ensure your watch's battery level is above 30%.
Stable Connection: Keep your watch and phone close to each other to ensure a stable Bluetooth connection.
Be Patient: The firmware update may take some time. Please wait patiently.
Keep the App Running: Before the update is complete, keep your watch and phone within close range and stay on the current update page. Do not lock your phone screen or exit the application.
Method 2: Flip the Device to Charge
Sometimes the sensor requires a physical reset. Please take off the watch and flip it over (with the screen facing down and the back sensor facing up), then connect the charging cable to charge it. After charging for a while, put the watch back on to see if it measures normally.
Method 3: Restore Factory Settings (Factory Reset)
If the above methods do not solve the problem, the device may have accidentally entered an engineering or testing mode. You can try fixing this by restoring the device to its factory settings.
Note: Restoring factory settings will wipe all local data on the device. It is highly recommended to back up your health data by syncing it to a third-party App (such as Apple Health or Google Fit) before proceeding.
Data Backup Method: For instructions on how to sync your data to a third-party App, please refer to this link: [How do I sync my device data to third-party applications?]
Factory Reset Process:
Wake up the screen and go to the "More" menu.
In the "More" menu, find "Factory Reset" (or "Restore Factory Settings").
Press and hold to confirm the reset.
Once completed, the device will restart. You can then follow the initial setup process to pair it with your Jimi Sports & Health App again.
