How to use the System Permissions page in Runmefit?

  • Updated

To ensure the Runmefit App can maintain a stable connection with your smartwatch and successfully receive notifications, weather updates, and health data, the app requires specific system permissions.

In the latest version, we introduced a new "System Permissions" page to help you detect and fix permission issues with one click.

How to access the page?

Open the Runmefit App, go to the "My" tab at the bottom, and tap on "System Permissions" in the list to enter.

Understanding permission status

In the permission management page, you can quickly check the current status via the icons on the right:

  • Orange "Allow" button: The permission is missing or has been revoked by the system. We recommend tapping the button to go to settings and manually enable it.

  • Gray Checkmark (✓): The permission is correctly enabled and working properly.

Recommendations & Privacy

We recommend enabling all permissions in the list to ensure a stable connection and prevent missed notifications. Rest assured, Runmefit strictly protects your privacy. Permissions are used solely to support watch features and your data will never be misused. Please feel free to enable them.

FAQ

Q1: Why I enabled the permission in settings, but the button is still orange.?

Some phone systems have a delay in updating status. Try going back to the previous page and re-entering, or fully close and restart the app to refresh the status.

Q2: Do I need to enable all permissions?

Yes, we recommend enabling all of them. Disabling permissions may cause disconnection, weather sync failures, or missed notifications. For the most stable experience, please allow all permissions as prompted.

Q3: Will enabling "Location" drain my battery?

  • Battery: Runmefit only uses location when syncing weather or tracking outdoor workouts. Daily standby use consumes almost no power.

  • Connection: For Android users, the system requires Location permission to be on for Bluetooth scanning; otherwise, the app cannot find or connect to the watch.

Q4: Why does my watch keep disconnecting?

This usually happens because the phone system kills the app background process to save power. Please ensure you find and enable "Ignore Battery Optimization" (Android) or "Background App Refresh" (iOS) in the permissions page to whitelist the app for background running.
