Why does the step count on my device differ?

  • Updated

The device calculates steps based on an accelerometer. Therefore, the accuracy of step count depends on walking posture, walking habits, speed, continuity, terrain, arm swing amplitude, and frequency.

  • Please make sure that you've correctly filled in gender, height, weight, age, and other factors that affect the step-counting algorithm in the "Runmefit" App, and synchronize all information to the device.

Please refer to "How do I update my height/weight and other personal information?

  • In daily life, prolonged or rhythmic swinging of the arm or body might lead the device to misjudge that you're walking, resulting in a deviation in the number of steps.
  • If you only take a few steps and do not continue walking, the device might not record that step data.
  • Since the device doesn't support GPS function, there may also be some differences in the number of steps in the exercise mode.
