What if my device can't receive notifications?

  • Updated

Please go through the following checks:

Ⅰ. Ensure both your device and the "Runmefit" App are updated to the latest versions. If not, please update first.

1. Open the App, click "My",

2. Click "About" and then "New version Update" to check whether your App is currently the latest version.

Ⅱ. Check the Bluetooth connection between your phone and device, making sure the App syncs data properly.

Ⅲ. Make sure the Notifications switch is turned on in the "Runmefit" App, then turn on the App switches you want to receive notifications from.

1. Open the App, click "Devices",

2. Click "Notifications" and check whether the "Enable Notifications" switch is turned on.

Ⅳ. Check if your device's "Do Not Disturb" mode is on. When this mode is enabled, vibration alerts will be turned off.

1. Open the App, click "Devices",

2. Find and click "Do Not Disturb" to check whether the switch is turned off.

Ⅴ. The notification push feature only supports syncing notifications from the phone's status bar. Make sure that the relevant app's message notifications are set to push to the status bar.

For Android users: Go to Settings > Notification Center and turn on notifications for the relevant Apps. Ensure all options like "Show in status bar", "Banner Notifications", and "Lock Screen Notifications" are on.

For iOS users: Go to Settings > Notifications and turn on the notifications switch for the relevant Apps. Ensure it's set to show in the Notification Center.

Ⅵ. For Android users: Add "Runmefit" to the background protection whitelist.
Go to your phone's App Manager > Permissions to enable Auto-start and Associated start for the app. Turn off the App switch under Settings > Battery > Lock Screen App Cleanup. If you can't find the "Runmefit" in App Manager, it might already be on the whitelist of background-protected Apps. If you have other phone management apps, whitelist "Runmefit" as well.

Ⅶ. Allow phone system Bluetooth pairing when connecting your device.
For iOS 13.0 and above: Select "Allow" when asked to allow your device to show iPhone notifications. Otherwise, you will not receive calls or message alerts on your device. If you missed this step, go to Settings > Bluetooth > Select Bluetooth Device, then turn on Share System Notifications.

If all the settings are correct, try restarting your phone and reconnecting your device.
